Four Barbadians and a St. Lucian national have died as a result of COVID-19.
An 80-year-old Barbadian man died today, Sunday, October 10, while in primary isolation at the Harrison Point Isolation Facility. He was fully vaccinated.
Two persons, a 69-year-old man and an 85-year-year-old woman, both Barbadians, passed away on Saturday, October 9, at Harrison Point. They were unvaccinated.
The deaths of a 59-year-old woman, a St. Lucian national, who succumbed to the virus at the Accident & Emergency Department of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, and a 60-year-old Barbadian man, who died in the community, were also reported. Both were unvaccinated.
The tally of COVID-19 deaths now stands at 95.
Minister of Health and Wellness, Lieutenant Colonel Jeffrey Bostic, has extended sincere condolences to their family and friends.
