Barbados has voiced its support for the work of the UN’s Permanent Forum on People of African Descent.
Ambassador to CARICOM, David Comissiong recently participated in the third session of the forum in Switzerland.
There, he made a plea for a new international special tribunal to seek reparations for transatlantic slavery and its legacies in today’s society.
He put forward a number of recommendations to the forum, which advises the United Nations.
