Barbados registered one victory when the 2024 Caribbean Youth Table Tennis Championships got going yesterday in the Dominican Republic.
Maleeq Aimey and Jashom Smith spearheaded the Bajans 3-1 win over Grenada in their 2nd group stage match of the Under-15 Boys section.
Before that Aimey, Smith and Riquelme Green lost to the trio from Dominican Republic 3-nil.
Barbados also lost their opening match in the Under-19 section to Trinidad and Tobago 3-nil.
There was no improvement today with both the Under-15 and Under-19 teams losing to St. Lucia and Cuba respectively.
The Singles competition gets going tomorrow.
