The CARICOM Regional Cricket Conference is currently underway in Trinidad and Tobago, with regional heads of government, Cricket West Indies Board Directors, regional cricket administrators, legends and current players in attendance under the theme – ‘Reinvigorating West Indies Cricket’.
Speaking at this morning’s opening ceremony at the Hyatt Regency in Port-of-Spain, Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley noted the mission of the two-day symposium is about collective action for the development of the sport in the region and maintaining its legacy.
Some of the key topics to be discussed at the conference include the strategic direction of West Indies Cricket, finance and commercial considerations, as well as fan engagement.
