A 56-year-old-man has died following an apparent hit-and-run in Long Bay, St. Philip in the early hours of this morning.
He has been identified as Anderson Benedict Graham of Long Bay Village Road, in that same parish.
Police say around 1:50 a.m. they were informed via a telephone call to Operations Control of the discovery of a deceased male body along the carriageway of Long Bay Main Road, about 40 metres away from the Salvation Army Church.
Police from the District C Station responded to the scene and confirmed the report.
They say it appeared as though Graham was struck by a motor vehicle.
He was pronounced dead by a medical doctor who visited the scene.
Police are appealing to the public for information pertaining to this incident.
