Barbados and the globe has heard from the World Health Organisation that the end of the COVID-19 pandemic is in sight.
Director General, Dr. Tedros Ghebreyesus says the world has never been in a better position to end the pandemic as global deaths fall.
Last week saw the lowest number of reported deaths since March 2020.
The WHO has released six short policy briefs that outline the key actions all governments must take now to finish the race.
They are a summary, based on the evidence and experience of the last 32 months, outlining what works best to save lives, protect health systems, and avoid social and economic disruption.
