416 new COVID-19 positives recorded

A total of 416 people, 167 males and 249 females, tested positive for COVID-19 from the 1,500 tests carried out on Friday, May 13th.

The cases consist of 108 people under the age of 18, and 308 who are 18 years and older.

There were 105 people in isolation facilities, while 4,226 were in home isolation.

The public health laboratory has conducted 669,421 tests since February 2020, and recorded 76,261 COVID-19 cases (34,907 males and 41,354 females).

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of people with at least one dose is 162,034 (70.9 per cent of the eligible population).

The total number of fully vaccinated people is 152,353 (56.2 per cent of the total population or 66.7 per cent of the eligible population).
