There are mounting calls to scrap the current legislation governing safe zones in Barbados.
The latest comes from the Barbados Association of Medical Practitioners in a statement released yesterday.
This comes on the heels of similar concerns raised by the Barbados Nurses Association after both entities, along with the Barbados Dental Association, met virtually up to late Tuesday night with Minister of Health and Wellness, Lieutenant Colonel Jeffrey Bostic.
It was during the meeting that medical professionals asked for a greater level of clarity.
BAMP President, Dr. Lynda Williams is asking for further consultation, after doctors in the association voted by a 75% majority for a suspension of the policy.
