Barbados’ natural gas supply has been impacted by the damage wrought in Puerto Rico by Hurricane Fiona.
Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley made the revelation as she addressed the United Nations 77th General Assembly in New York.
Noting that natural gas is seen as a bridge to clean energy, Ms. Mottley suggested this could undermine the island’s commitments to reducing emissions and adapting to climate change.
