Minister of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs, Kirk Humphrey hit back at critics after the much touted legislation was first brought to Parliament.
He says consultations have been held regarding the legislation and he’s told Barbadians it doesn’t take away any parental rights.
Minister Humphrey suggests the criticism being leveled is an attempt to gain recognition and scare the public.
He corrected the misinformation being peddled, reiterating the Child Protection Bill serves to protect children.
