Some major developments appear to be underway in the Democratic Labour Party camp.
CBC News understands during a General Council meeting at its George Street headquarters this morning, the General Secretary read a letter from President Verla De Peiza offering her resignation as Party Leader.
The meeting is being held in the wake of the DLP’s failure to secure any seats in Parliament during the just concluded general elections.
That meeting is still ongoing and we’ll have more details as they become available.
