Efforts on to develop trade between Barbados & Kenya

July 20th, 2022

The Barbados Manufacturers’ Association and the Kenya Association of Manufacturers plan to work to develop trade between the two countries.

To this effect a memorandum of understanding was signed during a virtual ceremony.

President of the BMA, John Marshall indicated the MOU was not just a symbolic act but a serious desire to work with Kenya to solve issues the manufacturing sector in each country faces.

The KAM’s Acting Chief Executive Officer, Tobias Alando, says his Association, which supports 14 manufacturing sectors that are significant contributors to Kenya’s gross domestic product, saw the signing of the MOU as an opportunity to further develop relations between both countries.

High Commissioner to Kenya, Alex McDonald says he saw the MOU as an expression of interest between KAM and BMA to foster relations to deepen trade relations between Kenya and Barbados.
