Man sentenced to five years for several burglaries

A 29 year old man will be spending the next five years at Dodds Prison after he appeared in court yesterday charged with committing close to two dozen burglaries over a three month period.

Police say Dave Antonio Husbands, of no fixed place of abode, was handed the sentence after appearing in the Holetown Magistrates’ Court before Magistrate Wayne Clarke.

Husbands was also accused of theft of a weed trimmer between May 10th and 11th as well as theft of a remote controller for a gate on May 8th.
