A visual arts exhibition showcasing the diverse perspectives of women in the community is currently underway at the Queen’s Park Gallery.
The exhibition, which is thanks to the National Cultural Foundation, is titled “A Seat at the Table” and features a diverse collection of art from artists of all backgrounds.
It was mounted on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 in celebration of International Women’s Day.
The artwork features a variety of mediums, including painting, sculpture, and photography, and one artist is exposing viewers to augmented reality through his work.
NCF’s Curator Oneka Small says the NCF is thrilled to showcase the work of the talented artists, in recognition of International Women’s Day.
She notes: “Art has always been a powerful tool for expression and advocacy, and we hope this exhibition will inspire conversation and reflection on the important role of women in our society.”
The exhibition opens Mondays to Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. until April 8, 2023.
