Deputy Speaker of the Senate Elizabeth Thompson says Barbadians need to be having conversations on foreign direct investment and not the notion that Government is giving people’s lands away.
Speaking on the Appropriation Bill today she said there are claims that a policy decision should be made to only lease land for development but not sold – a position she says is not legal.
