The Barbados Water Authority is introducing a novel plan of action which is expected to fast track the mains repairs currently being undertaken at Cattlewash in St. Joseph.
Word of this from Director of Engineering at the BWA, Charles Leslie.
He says the Authority has been experiencing a number of challenges carrying out the project, which at times has threatened the safety of workers.
Mr. Leslie tells CBC News the new plan now will see a fresh section of the main at Cattlewash re-laid at a shallow depth.
He says a site visit was undertaken to determine the logistics for this special replacement procedure.
