Barbados has challenged island states to work together on solutions to address the unique challenges they face.
Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley signalled her country’s readiness to share its experiences with fellow participating states at the ongoing 2022 Virtual Islands Summit.
The free online event is organised by Island Innovation and designed to connect global islands and share their common experiences.
In her address, she says nations are already suffering from the climate crisis and have been impacted more recently by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
She is confident that as islanders, solutions can be found to our common problems.
