Some Barbadians are opting to mix and match COVID-19 vaccine doses for stronger protection, as the National COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign rolls out booster shots.
Co-coordinator of the Campaign Dr. Elizabeth Ferdinand says while mixing and matching vaccines doses is a personal choice, many Barbadians are consulting their primary care physician to make the best decision.
While new studies show mixing the two types of vaccines gives an individual a more robust chance of fighting COVID-19, Dr. Ferdinand explains it is still unclear how long that protection will last.
