The wards of the Nightengale Children’s Village will be immersed in a world of movie making and computer technology this summer, thanks to a programme with the Orphanded Starfish Foundation.
The programme, which was launched on Wednesday, is the 80th one and Barbados is the 33rd country to have it.
Founder and Chairman of the Charity Andy Stein says they cover over 18,000 orphans and equip them with skills for the digital age.
Minister of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs Kirk Humphrey thanked the Foundation for bringing the “An Other World Computing Technology Centre” to the Nightengale Children’s Village.
He stressed it was a good step in ensuring they are not excluded from the digital space.
