Former Principal and founder of the Metropolitan High School, Olivier St. Clair Cox, was laid to rest yesterday at the Westbury Cemetery after an emotional ceremony at his former church grounds.
He was lauded for his significant impact on education in Barbados and the region, particularly for vulnerable families.
The veteran educator was also remembered as a man dedicated to his faith as a member of the Belmont Methodist Church.
The service also featured tributes from past students, grateful for his contribution to their lives.
Mr. Cox was 88 years of age…may he rest in peace.
