Minister of Education Kay McConney has heeded calls from the general public, the church and political organisations including the Democratic Labour Party to take responsibility for the unvetted IDB survey taken by some first form students.
In facing the media this evening she said an Ethics Committee will be set up to oversee further surveys for schools in Barbados.
According to Minister McConney some of the questions in the survey were not agreed to by the Ministry.
She also said she never considered resigning and that measures have been put in place to prevent a recurrence.
