Despite COVID-19 restraints, the Kiwanis Club of Barbados North continues to support Barbadian youth and build better communities in times of need.
Over the last two years the organization has spearheaded several community service initiatives including food hamper distribution, beach clean ups and donations to public health facilities.
According to Lieutenant Governor for Division 27 of the Caribbean District Cynthia Blackman, the organization’s services are required now more than ever.
She made these remarks at the Kiwanis Club of Barbados North’s annual award ceremony.
Several Kiwanians were recognized for their outstanding service.
Distinguished President Emerson Beckles was awarded ‘Kiwanian of the Year’ for his selfless contributions to the organization and community service ventures over the past year.
Mr. Beckles says this award would not have been achieved without the help of his fellow Kiwanians.
