The Cabinet of Barbados has approved a policy on ageing.
This revelation from Minister of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs Kirk Humphrey.
He was speaking at a health fair for the National Senior Games.
Minister Humphrey says it will now be debated in Parliament.
He adds that the policy will include fourteen categories, covering every area to ensure the elderly are well taken care of.
Mr. Humphrey also says there are other policies on the horizon to be debated in Parliament.
