This is according to President of the Bankers Association of Barbados and Managing Director of Republic Bank, Anthony Clerk.
He told the CBC NEWS members of the Association were to meet with Central Bank officials to discuss the issue.
Mr. Clerk says banks are moving from the CARIFS platform and are looking to put in place a new inter-change agreement.
