Experienced paediatrician, Dr. Clyde Cave, says Vaccination Week in the Americas presents a good opportunity to refocus on the important vaccines necessary for children especially.
He says vaccinations represent one of the biggest medical interventions often taken for granted.
Dr. Cave made the comment as a guest on CBC’s Mornin’ Barbados, as he reflected on the significance of the week, which is being held under the theme, “Time To Get Up To Date”.
And Senior Health Sister Julyette Serrano says there are many benefits that are often forgotten.
She noted that vaccines ultimately prevent both disability and death.
