The number of school aged children now suffering from myopia or nearsightedness has increased tremendously within the last 18 months.
This is according to optometrist Simone Harris of Eye Focus Inc. who told Morning Report that with the increase in online classes, she’s been getting lots more patients, but some children are being proactive and pushing their parents to get them blue light blocking eyewear.
She explains how it works, also noting glasses are no longer taboo for children.
