The Commerce and Consumer Affairs Department is keeping a close eye on product prices in Barbados.
According to Director, Bertram Johnson, the Department has invested in a data analytics platform to allow them to keep track of and act on concerns about the cost of consumer goods.
He also says a consumer advocacy body is missing from the landscape in Barbados and that is one of the areas the Department will support going forward.
