Officials at the Girls’ Government Industrial School say their investigation into a recent incident in which several girls allegedly attempted to escape the facility, has found no evidence of mistreatment by staff.
Home Affairs Minister, Wilfred Abrahams, and several officials held a news conference at the Ministry’s headquarters this morning to reveal the findings of an investigation into the matter.
The Minister revealed that he met with the residents following the incident and had very frank conversations about what had occurred.
