Emergency work may cause water outages

Some people in St Philip and Christ Church may experience low water pressure or water outages this afternoon.

This as the Barbados Water Authority carries out emergency repairs to a damaged air valve on a 16-inch main, between the Hampton Pumping Station and one of its reservoirs.

The Authority noted that while this repair work is being conducted customers in some St Philip and Christ Church areas may experience low pressure or water outages, but did not identify specific areas in the parishes.

They went on to thank the members of the public who brought this situation to their attention.
