64 cars are entered for tomorrow’s Shakedown Stages rally, organised by the Barbados Rally Club.
The nine-stage event will be without last year’s champion driver Ian ‘Wee Wee’ Warren as he would be sitting out this year’s action to attend to family and business matters.
He made the announcement after receiving the Champion Driver’s Trophy at the prizegiving ceremony at the Vaucluse Raceway on Friday night.
He admitted winning the title was not easy as he had to survive the loss of brakes during the final event last year.
The Shakedown Stages rally is a forerunner to the marquee motorsport event, titled BCIC Rally Barbados set for May 31 to June 2.
