The lone asphalt producer onshore, Asphalt Processors Inc., is looking to encourage Government to use its new polymer modified asphalt.
While its new to Barbados, it has been in use for over 30 years in other parts of the world.
Managing Director of API, Errol Lynch, believes it has several properties that would be useful on local roads to make them stand up longer.
Minister of Transport, Works and Water Resources, Ian Gooding-Edghill, says Government will collaborate with the API.
He also says he is proud of the company which can now be revered as a global industry leader.
