Upgrading low income houses and replacing old water mains are among Government’s plans for money it will receive under its new arrangement with the International Monetary Fund.
This was revealed by Prime Minister, Mia Amor Mottley, during a discussion hosted by the IMF on the Resilience and Sustainability Trust.
Prime Minister Mottley says in addition to hurricanes, Barbados is facing a ground water crisis.
She suggests replacing the country’s old water mains is a 20 to 25 year exercise.
