A minor earthquake was recorded northwest of Barbados late last night.
The Seismic Research Centre of the University of the West Indies says the 3.5 magnitude quake struck around 11:27 p.m.
It was located at latitude 13.58N and longitude 60.36W. That’s about 98 kilometres northwest of Bridgetown or 85 kilometres southeast of Castries, St. Lucia.
The quake struck at a depth of 16 kilometres.
A 3.8 earthquake was also recorded around 4:19 yesterday evening, about 255 kilometres northeast of St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda.
