1 man dead, another injured in Dunlow Lane shooting

A man has died and another has been injured following a shooting in Dunlow Lane, Bay Street, St. Michael in the early hours of this morning.

The deceased has been identified as 26-year-old Shakiel Shaquan Joseph of that same area.

Police say the incident was reported to their Operations Control Room at 4 minutes past midnight.

They say some people were liming and playing cards in a shed at a residence in the area, when gunshots were heard, causing them to flee.

Joseph was discovered with a number of injuries about his body, and was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene by a doctor.

Meanwhile, the injured man was transported to Hospital for medical attention by a private car.

Investigations are continuing.
