The Barbados Association of Retired Persons wants Barbadians, as they age, to take their health more seriously.
President, Marilyn Rice-Bowen is asking people, especially its members, to ensure they get their medicals annually as she says prevention is better than cure.
Ms. Rice-Bowen was a guest on CBC TV8’s Mornin’ Barbados.
In a bid to push healthy ageing and ageing strong, BARP has partnered with Ross University and Urgent Care, offering free medical clinics for its membership.
Ms. Rice-Bowen says the response has been overwhelming with all the dates for this month filled.
