The head of the Barbados Tourism Marketing Incorporated (BTMI) sees it as critical that citizens not only play a part in the vital tourism sector, but benefit from it as well.
Chief Executive Officer, Jens Thraenhart shared the strides made by Barbados in tourism over time at the Global Tourism Resilience Conference in Jamaica, noting Barbados has more to offer than just its beaches.
Mr. Thraenhart says Barbados, through the introduction of the Welcome Stamp Programme, has distinguished itself among other states as it’s a ‘home away from home’ for many.
