Windies fighting back

The Windies are fighting back on day two of their 1st Test against South Africa, after missing out on a first innings lead.

South Africa are 49 for four in their 2nd innings, after bowling West Indies out in their first innings for 212 in Centurion this morning.

Resuming their first innings on 314 for eight, the hosts were eventually restricted to 342, thanks to a five-wicket haul of 5 for 81 from Alzarri Joseph.

Raymon Reifer then struck a half century of 62, assisted with 37 from Jermaine Blackwood and 22 from Tagenarine Chanderpaul and Roston Chase each, but the Windies fell short on 212.

Anrich Nortje took five for 36.

The Aouth Africans ended the day on 49 for four in their 2nd innings, that is 179 runs ahead with six wickets in tact.

Joseph has 2 for 17 while Kemar Roach and Jason Holder have one each.
