The Barbados Road Safety Association has made a fresh appeal for motorists to be extra vigilant on the roads.
Acting President, John Herbert, made the call during a plaque unveiling ceremony over the weekend in memory of cyclist Melanie Watts, who died two years ago, after being struck by a car.
The plaque is affixed to a bench along the Barbados Trailway Demo Line in Salters, St. George.
Melanie’s mother, Patricia Watts, explains the plaque is not just for her daughter but serves as a memorial for other cyclists killed on the island’s roads.
