Energy Minister Senator Lisa Cummins has been clearing the air about Barbados’ offshore oil and gas exploration efforts.
During her presentation in the Upper House, Senator Cummins dismissed suggestions that rigs will be set up in Carlisle Bay and other points across the island.
The Energy Minister also confirmed that Barbados remains committed to the climate change fight even as it embarks on the oil exploration efforts.
She even reiterated statements by Prime minister Mia Amor Mottley to demonstrate that.
