Arrangements for St. Giles & St. Stephen’s Nursery Schools

The Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training (METVT) is informing staff, parents and guardians of new arrangements for the St. Giles and St. Stephen’s Nursery Schools. In a release this evening, the following information was provided.

For St. Giles Nursery School:

The Ministry says following discussions with the National Petroleum Corporation (NPC) today concerning ongoing external environmental issues affecting staff and students of the St. Giles Nursery School, from tomorrow, Wednesday, March 22, that School will be relocated temporarily to the auditorium of the Maria Holder Government Hill Nursery School at Government Hill, St Michael.

This relocation will continue until the end of the term on April 5.

In addition, the Principal of the St. Giles Nursery School has informed that the “Before School” programme will continue as usual from 7:00 a.m. until 8:15 a.m. at the new location.

Additional information on the nursery school will be provided to parents/guardians in due course.

For St. Stephen’s Nursery School:

From tomorrow, Wednesday, March 22, reception students of the St. Stephen’s Nursery School will no longer be required to report for classes at the St. Stephen’s Anglican Church, Black Rock.

However, school sports will occur on Friday, March 24, at Queen’s College, Husbands, St. James, as previously organised.

Teachers from the nursery school will be in contact with parents/guardians tomorrow, to organise the work for the next two days.

Parents/guardians are also encouraged to listen for further updates on the reopening of the St. Stephen’s Nursery School, following environmental assessments from the Ministry of Health and Wellness.

The METVT has apologised for any inconvenience caused by these arrangements.
