As Barbados considers ways to boost its declining population, Ambassador to CARICOM, David Comissiong has proposed the country extend Barbadian citizenship to grandchildren and great-grandchildren born overseas to Barbadians.
He says currently, Barbados extends citizenship to the children of Barbadians born overseas.
He made the revelation on the Conversations on CARICOM segment of CBC TV 8’s Mornin’ Barbados.
