From next Sunday, May 5, all Anglican churches here in Barbados will return to administering communion via the common cup.
Bishop Michael Maxwell made the announcement during a special message shared in churches this morning.
The format of the church’s communion was altered at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 when cases were on the rise.
However, now that the cases and deaths are in decline, Bishop Maxwell says it is safe to revert to the original format.
Bishop Maxwell has spelt out how the communion will be administered to children.
