Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley has dismissed rumours the school monitors programme could be coming to an end.
During Thursday’s Parish Speaks in St. Joseph, an employee inquired about the future of the initiative, as she had reportedly heard it may not be renewed in the new school year.
The school monitors were brought on during the COVID-19 pandemic to help primary school children maintain the protocols.
Ms. Mottley revealed plans for them to be trained to assist in other ways within the school environment.
