Several derelict roads in the parish of St. Philip are earmarked for repairs under Government’s short roads programme.
MP for St. Philip South, Indar Weir, made the disclosure as he toured the newly paved Belair Road with constituents.
Mr. Weir explained that he had kept his promise to residents back in 2016 that he would make sure the road which was riddled with potholes and prone to flooding, was done if he was elected.
He told CBC News he’s already submitted the names of more roads in the constituency to be fixed.
Meanwhile, residents have welcomed the road works.
