Local non-governmental organisations and the private sector have welcomed the approach from the Government to reduce plastic pollution, outlined by Environment Minister Adrian Forde during a news conference today.
Representatives from organisations such as the Future Centre Trust and the Caribbean Youth Environmental Network weighed in on the crackdown on plastic pollution. They spoke about their inroads made with cleanups across the island.
And the Barbados Chamber of Commerce and Industry representative, Andy Armstrong, gave insight as to what some private sector agencies have been doing to reduce their plastic footprint.
