More Barbadians are becoming vendors in a bid to support themselves.
That’s the observation from Barbados Association of Retailers Vendors and Entrepreneurs, BARVEN, which has seen a spike in membership.
Public Relations Officer Valentino Barrow attributes the growth to the fall-off from the COVID-19 pandemic.
He made the revelation as he and other BARVEN representatives appeared on Mornin’ Barbados.
While the BARVEN PRO is grateful for Government’s efforts to provide more facilities for vendors, he says issues with lighting at the new Fairchild Street facility need addressing.
