Only one Barbadian has made it safely through the first two rounds so far at the BTMI Barbados Surf Pro presented by Diamonds International.
The action got going today with the Men’s section at the Soup Bowl in Bathsheba.
Barbadian Lewis St. John was impressive with 12.13 for 2nd place in heat two to advance to the round of 64.
Reed Platenius of Canada won the heat with a 12.77.
Axe Garrett, Warren Povey, Rafe Gooding and Che Allan were among those eliminated.
The event continues tomorrow with Barbadians Ocean Gittens, Tommaso Layson and Caleb Rapson first in the water.
