CXC dismisses claims of exam paper leak

The Barbados-based Caribbean Examinations Council has dismissed claims reported on social media that an examination paper has been leaked.

CXC in a statement says it is aware of the claims and has advised candidates that it is a hoax.

It says it frowns on attempts by people to spread false information and create panic for those preparing for examinations, urging candidates to rely on official sources for news and updates.

CXC also assures it has established policies in place to minimise disruptions that may occur during the sitting of examinations.

The statement follows a series of bomb threats directed to at least three high schools in Jamaica yesterday which temporarily halted the administration of CSEC and CAPE exams.
