Operations at the Barbados Licensing Authority in the Pine closed earlier than usual today as a result of a staff shortage.
CBC News spoke with National Union of Public Workers Deputy General Secretary Wayne Walrond who was on the scene.
He stressed that the situation was a result of manpower issues involving testing officers.
Mr. Walrond says this forced the rescheduling of appointments.
He says the NUPW was assured by management that the staff shortage facing the company would be resolved.
