The sweet taste of BSSAC victory was still lingering in Waterford this morning as double crown champions Combermere were in celebration mode again following their historic feat.
The Dasani-Powerade BSSAC Kings and Queens for 2024 continued their merriment with a motorcade which started just around 11:00 a.m. at the school’s compound and journeyed through Government Hill, Collymore Rock and Bridgetown.
Coaches, teachers and old scholars joined the winning athletes on a music truck to celebrate the momentous occassion.
Head of the Physical Education Department, Michael Small, said it’s the school’s way of honouring the athletes for their tremendous success on the track and in the field.
Jumper Tylan Mayers said the BSSAC double has created a greater sense of pride among the athletes.
